Thomas O'Brien Collection Design: TOB814A-Allium
Art Deco blends with a nature reference in this rug of rippling stripes and spheres, derived from a favorite 1920’s carpet image. Always fond of the abstract leaf and grass patterns of the period, O’Brien chose this motif for its likeness to allium plants, with their swaying stalks and sunny heads. The design could as easily be seen to have an aquatic character. Renditions in four soft solid neutrals, including one in glamorous ivory, give a sculpted textural look, in wool & silk or all wool.
