Organic. Modern. Relaxed. Classic. Rough Luxe…

It’s What’s New at Safavieh

Some aspects of interior design follow fashion, changing with the seasons in the same way hemlines
rise and fall. Other home design trends are more profound, reflecting cultural shifts and changes in
lifestyle. The collections debuting now at Safavieh Home Furnishings fall in this second category:
The new furniture is an expression of the more relaxed, casual way people live and entertain at home today.

Rooms are closer to nature, both in the materials they incorporate and the use of organic
forms. And modern spaces feel less dogmatic; they have a fresh urban energy that comes with the
mix of styles from different eras. Turn the page for a first look at some of what’s in store for you.

URBAN ENERGY This living room setting features leather furniture made for Safavieh in Italy, including the standout Luna sofa. This customizable sectional has adjustable seat-backs and arms, allowing it to be converted from sofa to bed, with myriad inbetween positions. The sofa sits atop a highsheen Mirage rug by Safavieh. Photographed at Safavieh’s Stamford, Conn., flagship store.

SWEET DREAMS Figured walnut in a warm taupe finish lends a relaxed, organic quality to this Bernhardt bedroom. The wood-framed headboard is inset with plush, sound-absorbing channel upholstered panels. Photographed at Safavieh’s Glen Cove, N.Y., flagship store.

DINING IN STYLE A dining room made in Italy for Safavieh features the ingenious Omnia glass-top table. It expands to seat up to 14 guests, and the legs always remain at the corners to ensure that all guests are seated comfortably. Photographed at Safavieh’s Manhasset, N.Y., showroom.

ITALIAN ELEGANCE With its unusual quilted leather base supporting an ash wood top, the modern Baltimora dining table was designed by Leonardo Dainelli and manufactured in Italy for Safavieh. Photographed at Safavieh’s Stamford, Conn., flagship store.

HORSEPLAY The Duke sofa by Verellen is notable for its relaxed inside-out seam detail on the arms. A Taracea coffee table pairs a live-edge wood top with acrylic legs. Photographed at Safavieh’s Glen Cove, N.Y., flagship store.

MODERN MASTERY Iconic modern furniture by Thayer Coggin is renowned for its perfect shape, scale and proportion. Case in point: this sectional seating group, which seems to float on sculptural wood frames. Photographed in the new Modern Gallery at Safavieh’s Broadway, N.Y., flagship store.

CURVES AHEAD This living room setting is all about subtle curves. Caracole’s Bend the Rules sofa and oval Front and Center cocktail table set the tone. The Villa Olmo buffet by Theodore Alexander has dramatic wavy ‘X’ applied decoration on the front panels. Cynthia Rowley’s Swan room divider for Hooker Furniture provides a linear counterpoint to all those curves. Photographed at Safavieh’s Glen Cove, N.Y., flagship store.

LAIDBACK LUXURY Designed in Italy for Safavieh, the Queen sofa reclines at the touch of a button. The Emile coffee table and shaggy ottoman are both by Safavieh Couture. Art by Wendover. Photographed at Safavieh’s Stamford, Conn., flagship store.
