Chic Peek
The Fashionable Lifestyle of Safavieh Culture
Our latest furniture collection is warm, welcoming, well-tailored and timeless.
The world of fashion is influencing interior design as never before, and Safavieh is at the forefront of this trend. We call our new collection Safavieh Couture because we’ve taken the elements that define French haute couture fashion and adapted them to the home. Silhouette is the defining characteristic of each piece. Tailoring is artful, with precise attention to detail. Materials are haute quality.
Consider the room below. The Cecilia four-drawer writing desk and the Cameron side chair recall the chicest interiors of 20th century Paris. You could see Coco Chanel handling her morning correspondence at this desk. And can’t you see yourself writing notes here or, to conjure a more contemporary scene, doing a little online shopping?

Imagine handling your correspondence at the Cecilia writing desk, then moving to the Miller tufted loveseat for cocktails and conversation.
Imagine, later in the day, the tête-à-tête that could take place between Yves Saint Laurent and his muse, Catherine Deneuve, on the Miller loveseat, with its perfectly crafted hand-tufting and nail-head trim. You can practically see the fabric swatches fanned out on the pretty Sonia coffee table, with its mirrored eglomise finish. Now imagine yourself on the same loveseat with someone special, perhaps with two flutes and a bottle of Veuve-Cliquot, bubbles rising, on the Sonia table.

In the dining room, the mirror-like surfaces of the Kirby table and Verna buffet contrast beautifully with the velvet covered Sylvia side chairs.
It’s certainly not hard to see how these updated classic designs, so evocative of French fashion, could imbue your own daily life with an extra soupçon of grace and beauty. The bedroom shown on this page is, if anything, even more dreamy. The crisply tailored Chester king bed features the perfect blend of luxurious tufted fabric and gleaming metal accents.
To the right is the domed Sabine chair, a gorgeous adaptation of an original Louis XV design. Its lavishly carved wooden frame and lush velvet upholstery are the perfect complement to the Dream rug on which the chair rests—a Persian design hand-knotted in lustrous silk and cashmere.

This Safavieh Couture bedroom is designed for lounging, whether in the Chester king bed, the exotic Sabine chair or the Vernon club chair. A silk and cashmere rug from Safavieh’s Dream Collection completes the look.
For all of its French fashion influence, the stylistic range of Safavieh Couture is wide. In the living room, the highly contoured Torrington chair looks like the love child of a traditional wing chair and one of the wilder mid-century designs of Eero Saarinen. Sitting in it, you might feel a bit like a test pilot from The Right Stuff. In the foreground is the Fulham arm chair, which gets its smooth lines from those prized finds of the Paris flea markets, the iconic leather club chairs of the 1930s. But here we introduce an original variation—hair-onhide upholstery on the sides, which imparts the flavor of the American Southwest. Hey, let’s put some Django Reinhardt on the hi-fi and mix martinis!

With its confident fusion of designer styles, there’s nothing boring about the living room. The Torrington chair conjures images of test pilots from The Right Stuff, while the hair-on-hide Fulham arm chair evokes a Southwestern ranch.
Like high fashion itself, the world of Safavieh Couture is about the synthesis of what came before into new designs that are fresh, enviable and in the best taste. These individual pieces are easily assembled into rooms that reflect your personal style, strongly appeal to the eye, stir the emotions and, yes, elevate the routines of daily living to a higher plane.

A loft bedroom offers a choice of spots to relax: the Miguel queen bed, the Roland day bed or the Fay wing chair.
