Allure Of Couture
Presented for your approval: highlights of Safavieh’s own Couture Collection.

Furnished with pieces from Safavieh’s Couture Collection, this room gets its drama from pleasing contrasts: The strong verticality of the mirror, screen and display cabinet is counterbalanced by the horizontal planes of the sofa and tables. Gleaming chrome is opposed by the rough wood and iron of the console table. The formality of velvet is softened by the relaxed look of natural linen.
Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention. A few years back, customer demand for a well edited, well-priced collection of fashionable furniture led us to begin designing and manufacturing our own pieces. We call our line the Safavieh Couture Collection because we take so many of our creative cues from the world of fashion.

In a serene bedroom, a contemporary rug sets a tone of quiet luxury. Silk and linen bedding whispers, “Get cozy,”while a hair-on-hide bench adds a slightly offbeat grace note of style.

In an inviting living room, brown leather and chrome exude cool against the backdrop of teal-colored walls. Seascapes on the walls further the sense that you’re in an Art Deco cocktail lounge or the reading room of a gentlemen’s club. Martini, anyone?
At first glance, you’ll notice that the collection features furniture in a broad range of styles, from traditional to contemporary, and a broad range of materials, from polished and gleaming metal to reclaimed wood and hand-forged iron. This is because we applied the same philosophy to the Couture Collection as to the Total Home concept of our stores: Cater to all lifestyles and all (good) tastes. The common threads in these disparate pieces are, quite simply, beauty of design and quality of construction.

Mixed material: There’s a timeless sophistication to stainless steel, when paired with leather, wood or glass.

Mixed material armchair: stainless steel and leather. The armchair shown here goes well in either a traditional or a contemporary setting.
More than that, with the Couture Collection we are championing the most exciting trend in interior design today—the confident fusion of different styles and different historical periods in the same room. You see fusion at work in the rooms at left and on the previous page. It’s a way of truly personalizing your space, of bending “the rules” to reflect your own tastes and whims. And it’s proof that comfort can coexist with good design and visual excitement.

Heavy Metal: A desk with gleaming brass plated stainless steel. The easel frame and glass top are unconventional touches that lend an artistic, almost industrial feel.

A brown leather and steel lounge chair is an ideal transitional piece in any room—and instant centerpiece.
