The hot new Hawaiian print trend in designer fashions for spring 2012 will be a major force in home decor. And Safavieh is making waves with beautiful Hawaiian-inspired rugs and decorative pillows.

Safavieh’s new Blossom Collection is a bold and colorful riff on classic hooked rugs with big prints like this one.  Our rug (left above) has the colors and Hawaiian flair of the hot new Bindya scarves featured in Vogue, Lucky, InStyle and more.  Constructed of large hand woven loops rather than traditional hooking, the texture of our 100 percent wool Blossom rugs lends itself to fresh, contemporary designs geared to young, fashion-driven consumers.

Safavieh’s new pillows pick up the theme with rainforest butterflies and blossoms in the new Ilavia design on a blend of organic linen and cotton.

And Aqua Flower Burst, a contemporary design printed on polyester.

From Safavieh’s Chelsea collection of hand-hooked wool rugs, a tropical border sets off a solid black ground in the rug (below left).  We love the new Hawaiian print shirt by couture designer Stella McCartney.

Safavieh creates a rich vintage look with Wyndham rugs artfully hand-tufted in India using a special multi-colored heathered wool yarn achieved with ages-old pot dyeing techniques.   This floral rug is as striking in your home as couturier Roberto Cavalli’s Moorea silk couture gown.

And from Safavieh’s new Modern Art collection, a floral that reflects the south sea blues of John Paul Gaultier’s Hawaiian halter dress. This rug, designed for casual lifestyle consumers who want high style and easy-care is hand-tufted of long-wearing polyester for crisp color and pattern definition.
