Nepalese Collection Design: DVE147A-Bukara
The unique ecosystem of the Serengeti plains has inspired writers, filmmakers, scientists and now designer David Easton for Safavieh Couture. Easton’s travels to the region, which seems to stretch endlessly from north-western Tanzania to south-western Kenya, have left a lasting impression. His meticulously detailed Peshawar carpet conjures images of the soft diagonal lines of the path of the massive overland migration for which Serengeti is renowned—the longest and largest migration in the world. Exotic, tribal and organic, Serengeti by David Easton is hand-knotted in Pakistan of the finest vegetable dyed wool in colors reminiscent of the ecosystem, from its swamps to its woodlands and grasslands.
