Step back in time with Safavieh’s brand new Vintage Collection—beautiful rugs inspired by two exciting trends: first the delicate colors and patterns of couture like Piazza Sempione’s soft blue silk dress; and second, the trend to recycling old carpets and over-dyeing them in fashion colors to camouflage stains and flaws.  Each rug in our new Vintage collection is power loomed in Belgium of 100 percent organic viscose yarn in a low cut pile to recreate the threadbare appearance of worn second-hand carpets. We deliberately dye our yarns with a special process that takes color unevenly and makes the rugs look like aged heirlooms. The colors are beautifully striated, lending even more old-world character to Safavieh’s classic Persian and Turkish designs.
