Safavieh's Marrakech Rugs The new Marrakech collection features 12 patterns, all overall designs that reference the geometric tiles of the famous Moorish palaces of Spain. The collection is made in Tibet and unique in the industry for its extremely fine weave, and the rich colorful patterns created with 100 percent hand-spun, vegetable dyed wool. Safavieh’s intricately detailed rugs recreate the extraordinary mosaic work originally created in the Spanish province of Andalusia, which subsequently influenced architectural design in Marrakech.
